Stretches and Exercises for Neck
Keeping your neck healthy and fit is important for overall well-being. Here are some stretches and exercises that can help:
- Neck Rolls: Sit or stand with your back straight. Slowly roll your head in a circular motion, first clockwise and then counterclockwise. Repeat 5-10 times in each direction.
- Chin Tucks: Sit or stand with your back straight. Gently tuck your chin towards your chest, hold for a few seconds, and then release. Repeat 10-15 times.
- Shoulder Shrugs: Sit or stand with your back straight. Shrug your shoulders up towards your ears, hold for a few seconds, and then release. Repeat 10-15 times.
- Side Bends: Sit or stand with your back straight. Slowly tilt your head towards one shoulder, hold for a few seconds, and then return to center. Repeat on the other side. Repeat 5-10 times on each side.
- Neck Extensions: Sit or stand with your back straight. Slowly tilt your head back, looking up towards the ceiling. Hold for a few seconds, and then return to center. Repeat 5-10 times.
Remember to always listen to your body and stop any exercise that causes pain or discomfort. If you have any neck injuries or medical conditions, consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.
